What is Sénart ?
Sénart is an urban agglomeration founded by the French state in 1973, which groups ten communes together, eight of them based in the Seine-et-Marne di
strict (77) and two in the Essonne district (91).
Established on an agricultural area, Sénart has expanded with the following objective : to create a new city model that combines the benefits of living in the countryside and in the city. Thus, from its onset, Sénart has been developing while integrating all aspects of the environmental dimension in its growth : housing, transports, planned development of business parks, and protection of wild lands.

- 35 km away from Paris, served by the Francilienne bypass and the A5
speedway - 4 RER stations (Rapid Transit System) which make it possible to connect to the Châtelet or Gare de Lyon stations in Paris in 35 minutes
- 20 minutes away from the Orly airport and 45 minutes from the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport
- Development in progress : a fast transport connection between Sénart and Corbeil, called "Tzen", will be operational in 2011, followed by a Sénart-Melun connection in 2013.
